Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR is a technique used to help alleviate unpleasant feelings and thoughts associated with trauma. It is a hands-on, practical, and research-based approach that helps people recover from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and panic.
Although EMDR is not a quick fix, it is a shorter term therapy (usually around 10 sessions) and can be quite helpful in clearing up trauma history. Ilona is trained and supervised in doing EMDR and will use it whenever she thinks her clients will benefit.
